The modeling of sublimation form a rotating cylinder of solid naphthalene in a confined vessel has been performed by coupling the model of incompressible Newtonian fluid flow with the model of the dilute solutions. Preliminary a 2D axisymmetric system with swirl flow function for laminar and turbulent regimes has been considered.

In the turbulent regime the RANS model with default parameter is employed. The inadequacy of the 2D axisymmetric model with swirl flow to take in account the effect of rotation on the rate of sublimation has been explained to be due to the orthogonal gradient of concentration field everywhere to the additional tangential velocity.

A 3D model is implemented, but even for laminar flow and absence of any rotation results with different order compared to 2D simulations are obtained.
