Error 4100

HI there,

I perform a simulation on a motor using the AC/DC module-perpendicular induction currents, vector potential (emqa). My subdomains include, rotor, stator, air, shaft and winding area. When i am meshing it using finer mesh size, i get this error message displayed:

"Error 4100. Failed to generate mesh for subdomain 2. Subdomain 2: Internal error in advancing front mesher"

What does this mean? SHould i just use the normal mesh? will the result of flux be different between normal mesh and finer mesh size?

Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hi

there are certainly cereal possibilities to generate this error. What I have noticed is that when you have a geometry that loop around torus or with a central cut, you often get such an error. What I do is to cut my geometry into a few parts and then mesh one by one, if the global meshing is not successful

Good luck
